About Internet Explorer 8: there are a couple of layout issues with IE8 which mean that some aspects of this site (predominantly the footer bar at the bottom of the page) won't display properly - these can be resolved by clicking the compatibility button next to the address bar to set IE8 into IE7 display mode. If, for some reason, we are unable to resolve the issue within the deadline we will keep in contact with you to explain the situation. Delivery UK)Monday to Friday, except Bank Holidays. Our priority delivery service ensures that orders to most mainland areas of the UK (received before 3pm Mon-Thurs, 2pm Friday) will normally be delivered to you the next working day. For example an order placed before 3pm on Tuesday will be despatched the same day and delivered to you on Wednesday. Although we do our utmost to fulfil this, there may be exceptional circumstances beyond our control when this is not possible and delivery may take 48 hours. We regret that in the Highlands, Island Areas and Northern Ireland delivery may take up to 5 days. Please note: small items weighing less than 1kg may be sent and charged Royal Mail postage only at our discretion. This service takes 1-4 days. Additionally, certain items (primarily live foods and plants) are dispatched directly from our suppliers and may take a little longer to arrive. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items. For all items: Our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you should call us within 14 days to arrange return; we will replace the item or issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. We guarantee everything you buy from us for one year apart from books, multimedia and also perishable items which should be used as soon after purchase as possible for optimum benefit and performance. During this time, if any item develops a fault or stops working and is not automatically covered by the manufacturer's written guarantee, we will replace it free of charge or, if appropriate, repair it. We cannot accept responsibility for any indirect loss that you have suffered because of the original fault with the product. Cancelling an item: Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within 7 working days, beginning the day after the delivery date. If you decide to cancel, please inform us by calling 0800 731 2820 and then return the goods to us unopened and in their original condition. This applies to all our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for items where the packaging has been opened. To cancel your contract, return the item to us with the delivery note and a note confirming that you wish to cancel, and stating your contact details and customer number. If we arrange for the items to be collected we will deduct the cost of doing so from the amount refunded. SecurityThe CJ WildBird Foods Online Shop uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and server certification to ensure secure transactions. Payment details are not stored on the secure server and are sent to us in encrypted form. In response to customer demand we have now modified the design of our secure pages slightly so that the "padlock" symbol indicating a secure site displays prominently in the browser window. Security SettingsIf you are having difficulties viewing our on-line shop and are using Internet Explorer, you may need to change your browser's security settings. To do this, click Tools on the menu bar at the top of the browser window, Internet Options, and select the Security tab. Change the security setting to medium. Web AccountsWeb accounts are separate from your main CJ customer account, are entirely optional and are used only for holding address details on the website - so why create one? Why create a web account? Your web account saves your primary address so that you need not enter it for each order you place. In addition, should you enter alternate delivery addresses, those are saved as well and can be quickly recalled for re-use in the checkout.
You can also see any previous orders you've placed online through your web account and, with the click of a button, add the entire contents of a previous order to your shopping cart - useful if you place regular orders for the same items.
Without a web account you cannot redeem promotional codes since these codes may have eligibility restrictions. If, for example, you are eligible for a discount on your first order, the website needs to know that you've not ordered before and it can't (reliably) know this without you being logged on. I already have a CJ account, why can't you create my web account automatically? The primary reason we don't do this is because, unlike your main CJ account, web accounts need to be associated with a valid email address and require a password. Our back office system doesn't store passwords nor require email addresses so this information isn't available to create web accounts. How secure are web accounts? All of the account management and checkout pages, including the login pages, are under the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) which means that any data transferred between your PC and the website is encrypted. This includes both your email address and password when logging in. However, a good password is the key to security; passwords must be at least 6 characters long or the site won't allow them. Your password should never be a "real" word (one that can be found in a dictionary) and should contain a mixture of numbers and letters (both upper and lower case) - this is true of any password you may need to use.
