Britain has over 250 native bee species and many of them now need our help in finding homes.
Modern agricultural methods, fewer suitable nesting sites and fewer areas where wild flowers flourish, are some of the reasons why 25% of our native bee species are now endangered.
On a more positive note, many of these bees are highly adaptable and will happily accept nest boxes placed in gardens.
