A mix of calciumworms and dried mealworms. The perfect combination for you gardenbirds. Calcium worms are the larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) and are a natural nutrient rich feeder insect. High in protein, energy giving fat and amino acids and uniquely high in essential calcium.
Calcium worms roughly contain twenty to forty times more calcium than other dried insects such as the commonly fed mealworm. They can be fed as a treat on their own or mixed with other foods.
Dried mealworms are a protein-rich and tasty food source for birds.
Our mealworms have been given a plant-based diet, making them safe for birds to consume, they will provide the protein requirements birds need to get through, especially when they need more energy like during breeding season.
The mix can be fed in bird feeders, on the ground or on feeding tables – and make excellent additions to other bird food mixes.
