Placement tips for best results

• Install from February onwards, depending on local weather conditions.
• Add 2–3 handfuls of straw, hay, reeds or similar nesting material.
• Place where ducks are regularly seen.
• Choose a sheltered and quiet location.
• Support the basket using crossed stakes or a sturdy structure.
• Allow for changing water levels by positioning it 40–60 cm above expected high water.
• Face the entrance towards open water.
• Ideally position the opening towards the east, north-east or north to reduce exposure to prevailing south-westerly wind and rain.
• Slightly tilt the basket backwards to help prevent eggs from rolling out.
• Store indoors at the end of summer to help maximise its lifespan.
