The Icarus Nest Box has been a favourite as part of our nest box camera bundles, allowing bird lovers to observe nesting behaviour up close. We are now pleased to make the box itself available separately - giving you flexibility to use it on its own or with a camera system of your choice.

Unlike standard nest boxes, the Icarus is deliberately made taller. This design ensures there is ample space for a small camera above the nesting chamber, without encroaching on the space chicks need to grow and thrive. This thoughtful construction protects bird welfare, while still giving you the option of adding monitoring equipment if desired.

Made from robust, FSC-certified timber, the Icarus blends naturally into your garden while offering birds a secure, weather-protected home. The 32mm entrance hole makes it suitable for popular garden species such as blue tits, great tits, tree sparrows, and nuthatches. Ventilation and drainage are built in to keep the interior safe and dry, and a hinged roof makes seasonal cleaning simple.
