Where it all began
This food was initially launched in 1999, the first specialist no-mess bird food mix in the UK market - we're really proud to be the pioneers in bird food. As bird feeding grew in popularity over the years, more people were looking for food that would give the birds the goodness they need, but without the mess.

The 'No Mess' Part
The 'mess' that we talk about, is when seeds fall from the feeders to the ground whilst the birds feed, and end up growing into unwanted plants when left. Our team of bird experts, otherwise known as ornithologists, challenged themselves to give our customers the bird food that would stop this from happening. Extensive research and testing finally led them to developing the first bird seed mix containing 'de-husked' seeds. The husk around the seed (the hard shell exterior) is the crucial element to enable growth from a seed. So by removing the husk, it would stop it growing, hence the 'no mess'!

The 'Hi-Energy' Part
Our seed mix is packed with premium ingredients such as sunflowers hearts, Oatmeal and Peanuts, all chosen as rich in energy and nutritional foods. This recipe has been tailored to exclude cheap fillers, such as wheat, to cut back on any leftovers too.

Versatile Food
A lot of seed mixes are only suitable for either a ground feeder or hanging feeder. Our Hi-Energy No Mess can do both! So whether you're wanting to attract ground feeding birds such as Blackbirds and Robins, or high-flying birds such as Blue Tits and Chaffinches, everyone is welcome.
