Starling Nest Box with Balcony

This traditional wooden Starling nest box is thoughtfully designed to support healthy breeding and protect against predators. A key feature is the extended front or ‘balcony’, which helps deter predators by keeping them at a safe distance from the nest contents, offering extra security for eggs and chicks.

From around 10 days old, young Starlings begin fluttering up to the entrance to defecate outside the box, helping to keep the main nest area cleaner and more hygienic.

Made from solid pine, the box features a 45mm entrance hole and spacious interior suited to Starling nesting needs. It measures 33.5 cm high, 25 cm wide, and 32 cm deep, in line with species-specific recommendations.

Easy to hang at 2 metres or higher, the box also includes an inspection hatch for simple cleaning and maintenance between breeding seasons.
